Terms of Service

1. Definitions

In these Terms of Service:

• "Service" means the Teacher AI-powered self-paced learning platform, including the website, web app, APIs, and related tools.
• "Company", "we", "us", or "our" refers to TeleCetli Kft., the operator of Teacher, registered at 7634 Pécs, Darázs Dűlő 70., Hungary, company registration number 02 09 085491.
• "User", "you", or "your" refers to the individual accessing or using the Service.
• "Subscriber" refers to a User with an active paid subscription.
• "Content" means any text, files (including uploaded PDFs), generated topics, exercises, learning data, or other material in or generated by the Service.
• "Minute" means one calendar minute of active teaching session usage, measured from session start to end.

2. Service Description

Teacher provides an AI-powered self-paced learning platform. The Service includes:

• PDF upload and automatic curriculum extraction (sections, items, learning objectives).
• An LLM-led teaching loop in five phases (introduction → worked example → guided → independent → mastered).
• Generated exercises with automated scoring and explanations.
• Mastery tracking, streaks, per-topic progress, and recent-activity feeds.
• An optional "discuss with the teacher" topic-drafting flow using the model's training knowledge.
• Voice-led delivery for language topics (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Hungarian, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic).

Features evolve over time. We may add, change, or retire functionality. Material changes that reduce paid features are communicated by email at least 30 days in advance.

3. Account and Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account independently. Learners under 16 require verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• One account per person. Account sharing voids your subscription benefits and may result in suspension.

4. Subscriptions and Pricing

4.1 Free trial

Every new account receives a one-time grant of 30 free teaching minutes on first use. No payment method is required to redeem the trial. The grant is recorded as a TrialGrant transaction in your activity feed.

4.2 Subscription plans

Beyond the trial, the Service is offered on a monthly subscription with included minutes:

All prices are in Euros (EUR) and include applicable VAT for EU consumers as required by local law.

4.3 Top-up minute packs

Subscribers may purchase additional minutes that stack on top of their monthly allowance and are used first:

4.4 Auto-renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly period. You may cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal accessed via Billing → Manage subscription. After cancellation you retain access until the end of the paid period; your remaining minutes stay usable until that date.

4.5 Payment processor

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full card details on our servers. You are bound by Stripe's terms when paying.

5. Refunds and Right of Withdrawal

• EU 14-day right of withdrawal: consumers based in the EU may withdraw from a subscription or top-up within 14 days of purchase without giving reason, provided no minutes from that subscription / top-up have been consumed. Once any included minute is used, you expressly consent to immediate performance of a digital service and waive the right of withdrawal for the consumed portion (per Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU).
• Pro-rata refund for unused top-up minutes is offered at our discretion within 30 days of top-up purchase.
• No refund is given for minutes already consumed.
• Refund requests are sent to [email protected] with your account email and the order ID.

6. Your Content

• You retain ownership of any PDF you upload and any text you submit.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (extracting curricula, generating exercises, scoring answers, displaying progress).
• You represent that you have the right to upload any PDF you submit, and that doing so does not infringe any third party's copyright.
• You may delete your uploaded PDFs and topics from the app at any time. Deleted Content is removed from active systems within 30 days; encrypted backups expire within a further 90 days.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Use the Service for illegal activity, harassment, hate speech, exploitation of minors, or to generate content that would violate applicable law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying models or prompts.
• Share, resell, or sub-license your account access.
• Circumvent quota, billing, or rate-limit controls.
• Upload malware or attempt to compromise the Service's security.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses large language models (LLMs) to extract curricula, draft topics, generate exercises, and score answers. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Do not rely on AI-generated material for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions. Verify important information against authoritative sources. The Service is a learning aid, not a substitute for qualified professional advice.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service — including all software, designs, logos, prompts, and documentation — is owned by TeleCetli Kft. and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TeleCetli Kft.'s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost profits, or learning outcomes. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (including liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation).

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the Service. On termination, your access ends, your content is scheduled for deletion (within 30 days), and you remain liable for fees already incurred.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts competent at the seat of TeleCetli Kft., except where mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence give you the right to sue in your local courts. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
